Tutorials have begun; which could only suggest one thing: no skipping. The first one yesterday at ten unforgiving AM, I almost gave up searching for the classroom after climbing 6 flights of stairs and ended up on the roof. Tutor was hilarious, absolutely adore her.

Tutor: What is Bali?
Me: A beach!
Tutor: What are you majoring in?
Me: *whispers*
Tutor: *sighs in relief*

And then there was deutsch, I sat between a boy who knew possibly every classical piece ever composed and a really pretty girl. Concentration hit an all-time low.

Last week, I went fishing.

I was ready to make my daddy the hooked proud; all those years he spent dragging us to the beach and ticking off fish species only to have me crawling back to the tent to snore.

Extremely good observational learning.

Five seconds after learning the whole sink-bait-in-water deal, I got the hooks firmly stuck to the bottom of the sea (spent the first 2 seconds thinking I caught a big one). I struggled and struggled before SNAP went the line.

The shirt says it all.
We wanted to see whose sunset shot was better.

Let’s just credit that superior, humongous camera of his.

And so we waited, and waited, and waited. Total anti-climax for the kids who were obviously expecting some gig.
Photobucket
We did wrap up the night with some fish (in our stomachs).
Danke, for all the lessons you’ve taught me. About being quieter, I’ll work on it.

Date with the ex-teammates. Gossiped over dinner at V8 and laughed until we had to pee to the chafe of the other diners. Peace, yo, happiness knows no boundaries. Right, Jane? Trooped over to some cool shops along some street and I found a hugeass trionyx turtle in one (as pet, not for sale, unfortunately). My maternal instincts started to fire up, as they do each time I see species other than Stamp’s. Dennis works there, coincidentally- I hope he (and Tri’s boyfriend) is open to bribery.

Please make Saturday games happen, people like Glyn need updates on current affairs of the world. =)

OMG some powerful quote just escaped me cos Loke gave me a call asking if I was in my room. Loke!!

My ma just asked why I dressed up "like a girl" the moment I returned. At least, I'm not crying every single night like one anymore; rejoice!

Today was crazy. I had no urge to skip anything, religiously scrambled around school to buy all my school books (for show), got lost while searching for some lab (this time, it wasn't my pathetic navigational skills, I just didn't know some places existed in school, dope), got a cabbie booked by a cop cos he pulled over for me in front of the police cantonment complex, was late for deutsch (not so shocking), and had a wacky conversation with a stranger I met in lecture.

The happy kinda crazy came during lunch with Az and Jess (Frau E named Jiam JESSICA cos she isn't so good with Chinese names). I missed them! We were discussing our SEP options (with me knowing nothing apart from the fact that we were "obliged" to go). Obviously we got derailed and envisioned our holiday destinations instead (thank goodness for railways, yeah Jess?). She called me during lecture just to confirm what our 3 synchronised options should be. Hoho. It'll be zoooo fun if we all get into the same college! Dear God, please don't bail out on this (though I know it's really good punishment if you do). =)

Wangwang is a crazy kinda crazy! He surprised me in school with a new dress (now you know, ma?), a bouquet of my favourite flowers in my favourite colour, chocolate and candies, and accompanied Hunn and I to the IHG handball (girls) finals. 4-0 to TH, yeah balls!=) Lovely!

Zul and I went on GX-5 (which trumps G-Max on all counts). The best damn thing that happened on Saturday apart from the end of season (2nd runner-up).
Being slung across clarke quay, that's what it's all about.

Ken's Thursday-conceived (count: 3 days) plan materialised yesterday: chalet for our small close-knit community, hoho! Having a blast was foregone conclusion.

How do I not smile with these two around?=)

The boys refused my half-hearted offer to help with the food so before they could change their minds...

Hullo sexayy. Want some jelly?

I deserve to be on the bed with these gorgeous girls because I'm not a jerk.

Look a lil closer at what the boys did for us. I call this redemption. :P

Our dear Carla had to leave and Hidz Jackson and I fell in love with her mike's voice. How're ye?;)

Shaz and supershy boyfriend arrived shortly afterwards. We played the Here & Now edition of Monopoly; so cool we wanted to swipe our ATM cards on that device.
Too distracted to watch P.S. I love you properly, the boys made us find charcoal which we did with a cat's help, and barbequed steak. The rest of the night was very eventful.

P.P.S. I love each of you!

Had a good day. Went for my first ever lecture this semester (overslept on Monday), didn't fall asleep (but didn't concentrate either), and missed yet another lecture for the games. Guilt was overriden by purchase of textbook. Had a blast of a time after that with V and we spotted Tasha (she's back omg, so darn happy!) so there was no way she was not coming with us. Fattened ourselves up with brownies and roared with laughter; they're such fun! :)

"And someone just filed for graduation..."
-Tasha on V's bodyslamming the glass door bearing PULL

"You can't just go there, you have to plan to get in there!"
-V on going to rehab

"Cos you're awesome!"
-Tasha on my woes

"(Back in her own country)..they do donuts on the highways and we swap cars at every traffic light!"
-Tasha disagreeing with me on ISR's alarming driving skills.

And the many, many explicit things they said which I can't bring myself to recount.

We put up a good fight at the semis, and everyone was happy with their performances. Save for some bad calls, I'd say we held NTU better than we could have last week. :)

At present you need to live the question.
Perhaps you will gradually,
without even noticing it,
find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day

My timetable now looks like a darn good set-up for light brain workouts with plenty of room to space out. Being manipulative has its advantages. I can't wait for season to be over so that I can start going back to Darren's gym, pull up my cap score (joke joke), and take up riding.

My grandma is back! With a new handphone loaded with pictures of the little cousins. Welcome back (more) awesome cooking (kidding, mother)! And happy birthday to you mum! Though I act as if the opposite is completely true, you're wayyy stronger than I am (inside). And I have to admit this: smarter too. Thanks for everything, and I mean everything.

The highlight of my social life last week was hanging out at D's with the girls after the third game. Hahahah pre-term depression was kicking in see see. Ask me out, Farah, quick! From captain's camera:
Photobucket
Pizza, laughter, and pretend conversations. They made Inge and I play really sleazy parts and it scares me how I found no difficulty.

Mes chouchous, when next can we be this goofy? I can barely smile these days while meaning it.

Term begins. BYE LIFE!

Today, I play my part as the angelic sister. 0:) I let Lin use my printer cos her supposedly superior one didn't work (sharing), I gave her studying tips although I am completely clueless on what disease "ICA" could be (caring), and I secretly love her (always have, always will).

ISR woke me up to bug me about module bidding, put me on hold because she was making out (!!!), so I re-slept, did forgettable things and made Ain (MM) wait for an hour to have Japanese food for the nth time this week. At this rate, I think I'd rather eat Steph.

I really, really, really can't wait to meet Jane and Tricia this weekend. Even though they know me too much, I love them to bits and pieces cos birds of a feather will always flock together.

ur sneakily online again!

I wanna extend the holidays indefinitely.

Yo lovebirds, come out come out wherever you are! I've missed both of you.

Photobucket
I promise I will return to you once the season is over. ♥!

Tomorrow, I vow to be independent. I will bring my own hair clips. Hahahah.

Second game of the season was good, but I felt horrible about my performance. When I hugged Jo and Xinyu from the opposition after ref blew the final whistle, it seemed like it was only yesterday we played on the same side back in college. Thank you Inge, for taking me home and for not telling me the things I wanted to hear- the usual "try harder, just a bad day", "don't be too hard on yourself", and blaming everything else. It meant the world that you told me how exactly I sucked and what I was put there for. I don't think I could have gotten on the school bus and heard me tormenting myself. If there's only one thing I could treasure from being in this team, it's the friendship Weiwei, MJ, you and I share.

Heads up! We're all in this together. :)

Oh seven was one kickass year, though I didn't see everything coming. There were the newfound responsibilities of work, that constant struggle to not give up on school, training commitments, having to give up the new sport I fell in love with because of everything else. But I also made new friends who are definitely for keeps. I got closer to my parents, and picked up 2 new languages. I was freed of the teeth grids after years of being bound. My heart was healed. The Saturday games.
Most of all, I have people who have much more faith in me than I do. =)

Spent the closing of last year making up for lost time to two of my best friends, and I kept at it with another one today. We sneaked into our old school when new term had obviously begun, all 10 of us, and we played and played the morning away. Samir scored all of our side's, and both of us had the longest bff conversation after that over drinks. One at a time. =)
Friends, family, sports, studies. There's nothing I want more (for now hoho!).
