After the bottles were opened, gifts unwrapped, and handshakes exchanged, Dennis sang Goodbye Girl to me. Lovely! Douglas got me my favourite pie and I dropped some crumbs on the carpets as I enjoyed my surprise farewell party on the last day of work. Leaving trails of my youthful uncouthness behind- exactly how I wanna be remembered.

Wonder who's gonna do the shouting across the room for her now.

I'm getting worse at lying (n).
I asked Sandra for some ribbon for the last-minute gift I got for the office. When she gave me a quizzical look, I told her I wanted to tie my hair. Oh gosh.
Yesterday, I bumped into someone I didn't wanna. He asked where I was from. School, I lamely said. His eyes darted to the back of my hand.

LUUUUGE LIE.

It was cool, though!

Bike ride in my dress, skyride, luge race. Abu's first bookout became my first experience of sorts.

And it occured to me, I didn't have one. Be mine?

Sometimes I wonder why I do the very things I dislike most. On Sunday, it happened to be running. It's no secret race jerseys are my biggest motivation. Truthfully, I don't know why I did it when I did everything I could prior to the run to ruin my chances of actually attending it. Guess it hit me at 2am on the event day how awesome life was being, and I wanted to mark this point. It helped that I psyched myself into believing that someone I adore was waiting for me at the finish line. Hohoho. I ran with two tags, including Clare's, cos I simply had no idea which was mine. Gives a new meaning to 'running for a cause'. The terrain sucked, there was a grand total of two water points (!), and I was running on empty. I lost a couple I was pacing for half of the race, and I fell quietly in step with a stranger I ran the rest of it with. She told me to push it as she saw me downgear the last 2km. Go ahead, she motioned, as she tried to brisk-walk the last 200m. I wouldn't let her cos she didn't let me. We chiong-ed to the beeping gate. I started the race late (standard) and half-sure I could do it, and ended up ten times more certain.

Angie, Jeremy and I got ourselves good leg massages right after. Tickled.

Yet another asking-for-it moment came this morning. Manned the rugbooths with equally-bored people.

When you meet the person you wanna spend the rest of your life with, you want your life to start right away.

Taken off a coolcat of a fan who had copies of Aladdin's workprints...

Aladdin: Genie, I need help!

Genie: Al, I've been around a few thousand years, you know? So let me give you just a little advice. The first rule in the game of love is...THERE ARE NO RULES! What you've got to do is go see her, boy!

Aladdin: I already told you. She refuses to even se--

Genie: See Prince Ali! But will that stop that scrappy, little second-story man from the backstreets of Agrabah? :D

Aladdin: :/

This is why my childhood wasn't as hip as it could've been. I blame those irresponsible people for not ensuring awesome exchanges like this make the cut for the movie. My life is forever scarred knowing what should've been. :x

Genie: Kid's got a genie, and he takes advice from a rug.
HAHAHAHAHHA.

And since I've been laughing too much, I'll try smiling.

"Live deep; never stop learning, playing, or finding wonder in the world around you. Live the length of your life, but live the depth of it as well. Travel light; this is no use in carrying around worry and regret. They only weigh you down. Always keep yourself open to hope and to love. They give us wings. Forgive imperfections; in yourself and others. Imperfections keep things interesting. They’re the cracks where the light shines through. Own beautiful things; and not just to keep in the drawer, tucked away for a perfect day. Surround yourself with things that make your happy, that remind you of the beauty all around us if we only keep our eyes open to it. Make mistakes; follow detours. Sometimes it takes an unexpected turn to help us find the life that is waiting for us around the bend. Trust yourself and the path that is meant for you. Take care of yourself; and sometimes that means you need the ice cream. Be good to your body, but also to your mind and spirit. You’re the only one who can. And always, always know you are loved. You are a gift to this world and a blessing to everyone. And that will never change."

While the colleagues went for various meetings on site, my handphone went to heaven. There's this really short (exclusive) quickdial list in my brain. They're people whom I call on for life support. 3 of those literally took my breath away.

Samir: "You want a lover like you're asking for cokelat (chocolate). Gimme."
Farah: "I'm still giving you the letters. Don't care don't care don't care don't care... I open and read ah?"
Onaguchi: "You know how to tell he's good for sure? Look at his face."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. I nearly died snorting out my iced tea; this place has never heard thunder till I came along.

The longest official city name in the world is: Krungthep Mahanakhon Amorn Rattanakosin Mahintara Yudthaya Mahadilok Pohp Noparat Rajathanee Bureerom Udomrajniwes Mahasatarn Amorn Pimarn Avaltarnsatit Sakatattiya Visanukram Prasit. It is the official name of Bangkok, Thailand. I wonder what my official name could be.

My favourite part of the week is the end. Kicking off the work pumps and putting on the boots. Fifofun with the usual Saturday crowd, our juniors, their juniors, and their juniors' juniors. Had a memory rush of our glory days, our own testimonial match, of Shah, of so much passion, of amazing plays and lasting friendships. I had to mark 'myself' because they claimed number 10 looked like me. Hahahahah. Got severely tempted by bubbletea calls from the sidelines to end the game, because Jane was contented with her try count for today I just didn't want to. My spirit's back!

3 cheers for 3 years !=)

Happy boys and happy girls, will be :D
I may not always remember all the things we did together, like how dollfin and I played a cooler versh of Battleshit back in college (wayyyy before H&K White Castle), but who with, I'll never forget. They make my world very special just by being in it. :)

Kieko, caught on video: "Yati and Candice will be my flower girls."
That he believes in the beauty of both our dreams no matter how extraordinary, makes mine seem more complete.

Ice-cream and blade date with Marcus coming up in a few hours to make up for my lack of effort in the past 2 years. Guilt was consuming me so I almost did YET another rain check (fear, disappear). "Don't worry. I'm never tired when it comes to meeting up with people I like.=)" Aww, and phew.

I'm on a roll, get outta my way. You rock, God!:) Merci merci merci!

Buenas tardes! The new girl joined the company, which means I start handing over! Sun fun, watch out! She has this sunshine smile that makes it hard for me to stop staring at her. Ash was busy so I showed her around- my most productive. Conversation inevitably skewed towards globetrotting, seeing how she's foreign, and I felt the itch again. Great girly chat to get me through an incredibly sleepy but heartwarming day (I wonder why). Lunch, that time of the day during which I daydream. Not much of a difference today, except that I found myself having good salmon at Ichiban Sushi with mentioned pretty girl.

The past week has been extremely refreshing.

I kissed out. I walked away more convinced that the stupidest mistake in life is thinking the one who hurt you the most, won't hurt you again. When I said I didn't want to see you anymore, why did you choose that particular statement to be the only one you ever listened to? (TL). "Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional." (M. Kathleen Casey). I made my choice. Please don't stand in my way.

Company's welcome party at One Degree 15. Speed limit of 40kmph aside, everything was dandy.

Audrey requested for Sunday touch cos her Saturdays are workloaded. We all know how that feels (on weekdays, at least). We had a new addition, my senior. I forgot to mention the social aspect of our Saturday games, think she turned up with hopes of stl-packed action. Heeh. For the first time, all the girls who showed up scored. Gungho ones include a burn by Jane, good load-offs to Jen and Aud by Jonathan, lovesit! Shared feeeeeeelings with Jane before Samir showed up to give me a hand with the shopping bags and a mouthful about my life.

Love these two (not together though, hahahaha).

Game later. Confirm puncture.

Masturah, who never stopped believing.

Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
And pray to God he hears you.

And pray to God he hears you.

One of these two has snuck into my heart. Play guess.

This morning I discovered I had the ability to whisper. It felt nothing like my usual yelling. The board pushed the internal meeting forward and Ash said I had to speak up. I wanted to jump off the building (we're at 19th floor) but I didn't wanna die hungry so I turned red and did a six-second mime. Paperwork is piling. Spent two hours doing accounting- one and a half resolving not to be pigeonholed when I have a career, and the rest of the time getting it done. Spent lunch at my recent fave hangout, the smokers' area. Ironic stuff. I freeze under 18 degrees so I find warmth there.

Weekend was surprisingly eventful after a difficult and bittersweet Friday. There was ChallengeShield, where we were victor(ia)s, chicas! No reserve players, no training, no supporters (Aisyah: "oh noooo, everybody here dislikes us!" hahahahaha). All the nonsensical champion talks before the games, they don't seem crappy anymore. :) Fun times.

The green gang had a barbeque at Marina's. Awesome stingray and squids. Hilarious jokes. Stupid dares. I finally understood why we were the 16 Kris chose out of 80.

Of course, in this picture, are the more happening ones. Hahh. The people I was closer to were present (except Sofi who was busy detaching herself before she heads for Spain!!!). The night ended too soon.

Spent half of Sunday sleeping and then sheesha passive-smoking with Clare, Hidz and Syafiq (Tekong-bound). I am guaranteed a lifetime of NS stories WOO. Knocking off for dinner with Art, Farid and Dan. Never happened in history, but I can only guess.

How can I promise you forever when tomorrow is so far away from me?

In Morocco, on one of our honeymoons, I became drawn to the word inshallah, meaning 'if God wills it'. I love the simplicity and beauty of this idea. In English, there is no one word that so completely surrenders to fate.

The new job has been everything (half before)nine-to-fve is hyped-up to be. Pays well, but how much adventure can one have in a cubicle, right? Sure, it's not as fun as the previous one in transit. I don't get to talk for hours with the ladies in green blazers at the counter, get Starbucks treats from the store behind, fake any accent, and joke with people from all over the world! Here, I learn something new everyday. Suddenly the things I read about Japanese working environment make sense. I grow balls because I don't get excused for being technologically-dumb, domestically-challenged, and unbelievably lacking in manners. I wired up conference equipment, made green tea (it's culture yo), laugh much less crazily. Achieved something I thought I'd never in my entire lifetime too. Punctuality. Much less glitz than the internship at Convention Centre, but am loving it all the same for I get to wear my favourite dresses to work and dictate what goes into the fridge.

Couldn't be more grateful for yesterday. Dollfin gave me all the hugs and love I needed. No will can break when it faces her. He is the luckiest man alive right now. We took lots of photos with our imagination, came up with the best pick-up lines and jumped into a water feature because it was asking for it. I live for days like this.=)

Am digging this unplanned school break. Training doesn't even dominate my life anymore. Need to make the best and most awesome out of the remaining month before I start doing something unlikely, like the write-up I submitted for GYS two hours before deadline when the e-mail was circulated months ago. So, Nani and I got our places in the Symposium!!! Accommodation won't be necessary. Don’t know how I’m gonna explain to them that I actually wouldn't die for the environment (unless it kills me first) and am all for capitalism, but I'll worry when we get there. Besides, I’m ready to stand corrected (also: shop, damage things, eat, express fabulous ideas with Nani). KL won't know what hit it, unless the things we did in our younger years get revealed. Like

You know it's the bomb diggy diggy when we get jiggy
let me piggy back ride on it all night long,
while i'm singin' my song,
all thru the hoody hoody wanna get that goody goody
You know it's the bomb diggy diggy bomb bomb diggy
Can I get some of your bomb diggy jelly jelly goody chocolate puddy,
wanna get a little bit of your goody ,goody ....goody, goody

Not what you think. The Bomb Diggy is among us. Rolling.

Lunchtime now! Imma take my place by the window sill and daydream to the breathtaking seaview.

Nie in leben nicht so. says: lunch also eat shit
Nie in leben nicht so. says: at least you got canteen food
Nie in leben nicht so. says: which is (y) than sidap
My muse. says: yaaaaa! canteen food yang so awesomely mahal nak mampos.
My muse. says: sidap is much better la!
Nie in leben nicht so. says: yeah
Nie in leben nicht so. says: with the dry curry
My muse. says: then you la yang salah. pilih kuah lain. ada banyak.
My muse. says: lemak ke, kicap ke, lauk merah ke

How do I not love my makcik friends?:)

All I wanna do right now is curl up on my bed, and spend the whole night hanging out with my dolphin doll on the phone, cos I know her spirit can renew mine.
